How do I buy Remote Forensics?

Purchasing the Remote Forensics solution is straightforward and we are very happy to help you through the process.

There are several steps that need to be taken and decisions that need to be made before the contract is sent out to you.

These can be summarised as follows:

  • Identify the risk locations in your organisation.
  • Decide if you want to host FIMS in-house, or have it hosted for you.
  • Decide how many PODs you need in all your areas of risk.
  • Think about who you might choose to act as FSP (Forensic Service Providers).

Implementation

The Remote Forensics solution is very quick and easy to install. The hardware is shipped out to each individual destination, pre-determined by you.

Once the hardware is in place then there is some configuration needed by the incident manager to set up the PODs on FIMS and optionally he can nominate the FSPs into the system now or later on if preferred.

The PODs then just sit in a rack with power and a single IP address and you are ready to start using it.


Training  

We offer a training day for the technical support personnel who act as the first responders on site. These training days are held regularly at our offices in Milton Keynes. Please ask us when the next one will be.

Alternatively, this training can be given to the incident manager for each organisation, who can then distribute it down the line to the technicians at each POD location.
